When thirsty, we turn to water, not oil. These two elements play different roles: water provides necessary hydration, while oil provides nutrition and lipids. In fact, oils do not moisturize, because they are composed of fats, which I hope is clear! However, they do protect the skin from dehydration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Water can quickly evaporate from the epidermis. Providing a dose of nourishment helps form a protective barrier on your skin that locks in moisture, like a light veil to prevent it from escaping!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is one of the reasons why our moisturizers contain a small percentage of oil in their composition.
